The Jean-Guy Lavigueur Story

In 1996 Jean-Guy Lavigueur won $7,600,000.00 in the lottery.   Their 16 year old daughter sued for a share of the winnings, resulting in a four month court battle.

This was accompanied by a steady stream of people trying to sneak a peek at their newly acquired $850,000.00 home.  They could find no peace, and had to resort to guard dogs, flood lights, and alarms to try to preserve some semblance of privacy.  In addition, old friends were turned off by his new found wealth and relatives complained that he did not share it with them.

In 1998 the family sold their house and moved.  They had finally become anonymous when they dropped from public view.

Imagine if they had won ANONYMOUSLY.
